How It Works

On the Plena staking platform or the staking screen in the app, you can connect your wallet and start staking $PLENA tokens directly or use any other token in your wallet. If you choose to stake a non-PLENA token, the platform automatically swaps it into PLENA and stakes the converted PLENA in the staking contract.

Don’t forget to apply your referral to enjoy extra rewards!

Once your tokens are staked, you’ll earn rewards based on the APR determined by your participation type:

1. No Referral Code: Stake PLENA without a referral code and earn a base APR of X%.
   ‍
2. With Referral Code: Use a referral code (the wallet address of your referrer) during staking to enjoy 2X APR% on your staked tokens.

When staking with a referral code, both you and your referrer earn rewards:

• You: Receive double the APR on your staked tokens.
• Referrer: Earns 10% of your referral rewards, adding a layer of additional rewards for those helping to grow the Plena ecosystem.

Example Scenario

Let’s bring it to life with an example:

• Alice stakes 1,000 $PLENA without a referral code, earning a base APR of 30%. If she stakes for 1 year, she earns 300 $PLENA in rewards.
• Bob stakes the same amount using Alice’s wallet address as his referral code. With the boosted APR of 60%, Bob earns 600 $PLENA in rewards over the same 1-year period.
• Meanwhile, Alice, as Bob’s referrer, earns an additional 10% of Bob’s rewards, giving her 60 $PLENA as a referral bonus.

This example shows how both Alice and Bob can significantly benefit, emphasizing the win-win structure of Plena’s Referral Staking.

Locking Period for Staked Tokens

To maintain fairness and system sustainability, all staked tokens are subject to a locking period (currently 60 days). During this time:

• Tokens cannot be withdrawn
• Rewards accumulate based on staking and referral activity
• You will be able to see the unlock date on the dashboard

Once the locking period ends, you can:

• Claim Your Rewards: Collect the rewards earned during the staking period.
• Withdraw Your Tokens: Retrieve the staked amount.
